Audition for King Lear

Auditions for our fifth installment of Shakespeare in the Sheds, King Lear, will be held in person on Thursday, April 3rd, Saturday, April 5th, and Sunday April 6th. Callbacks (if necessary) will be held on Monday, April 7th. Video submissions by request only. Please prepare any 10-20 line monologue from King Lear. At the audition, you may be asked to do a cold reading from the play. Please note, this production seeks to create a cohesive and collaborative Shakespearean Troupe who will play multiple roles in the play including three actors who will play Lear. The casting will be gender-blind, age-blind, and “look”-blind. Click the button below for more information.

Join us on Friday, March 21st and Saturday, March 22nd at 7 pm for a reading of local playwright Felicia Russell’s play Mary, Mary, presented in two parts, chronicling the lives of Mary Wollstonecraft, Britain’s first feminist and her daughter, Mary Shelly, author of Frankenstein. General admission tickets are priced at $10 and sold at the door only, cash preferred. Additional donations welcome.
